Or you can just kick back and enjoy the sun on one of the many gorgeous, white-sand beaches that abound.
These shore tours are currently being offered on the "Fun Ships." Shore tours may only be purchased on board. All tours are subject to change and may not be available on every ship and/or sail date; the duration of the tours are approximate times only. A child is considered 2-12 years of age unless otherwise noted.

Bike Adventure $89 per person
Biking, sightseeing, and the beach...this tour has it all! Enjoy a leisurely 18-mile bike ride (optional 12-mile ride) as you explore Freeport's sights and sounds. Stop at a quaint seaside restaurant where you will have the opportunity to taste the local conch delicacy and native banana bread along with a cool, non-alcoholic beverage. Afterwards, refresh yourself with a dip in the crystal clear waters of the ocean. Your final destination will be colorful Port Lucaya Marketplace where you can shop before heading back to your ship. Note: Minimum age is 12 years. Two types of bicycles are available: comfort cruisers and mountain bikes. Approximately 5 1/2 hours.
Bottom Fishing Tour $65 per person
Hop aboard a 47-foot custom fishing boat and experience bottom fishing in the turquoise waters of Grand Bahama Island. Enjoy an opportunity to catch snapper, porgies, triggerfish and much more. Bait, tackle, ice and water are included. Note: Minimum age is 6 years. Approximately 5 hours.
Dolphin Encounter $99 per person
Awesome, amazing, an experience of a lifetime! These are just a few ways people have described the dolphin encounter. Don't miss out on your opportunity to learn more about these amazing creatures. After a short taxi ride to Port Lucaya along the picturesque South Shore, you will board a ferry to Sanctuary Bay, which is home to over 14 Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. From the observation deck, the facility's well-trained staff will involve you in an educational orientation about dolphins and their behavior. Then it is onto the floating dock, where you can step down onto a 3 ft deep platform where the dolphins will swim right up to you to be touched as well as having their picture taken with you! The trainers will have the dolphins demonstrate various types of behavior, giving you more terrific photo opportunities before your return trip to Port Lucaya. Approximately 3 hours

A terrific opportunity to explore Freeport in the heart of the Bahamas! You will travel through both residential and industrial neighborhoods on your way to the downtown commercial district. Shop in the quaint Port Lucaya marketplace, or simply stroll along the streets of Freeport at your leisure. Transportation is provided, however if you choose to stay downtown longer, your return transportation will be at your expense. Approximately 3 hours
Freeport Snorkel Tour $35 per person
Spend a day in the sun on board a beautiful 72ft catamaran, snorkeling over one of the many pristine reefs located off Lucaya Beach! There is an abundance of marine life and coral formations to explore in this area and with the experienced crew on board the catamaran even the first timers will feel like pros! Your crew will offer guidance as well as pointing out some of the hot spots around the reef. After your snorkel experience, enjoy some complimentary punch on your picturesque sail back to the pier. Freeport Kayak & Natural Experience $89 per person
Experience one of America's fastest growing sports -kayaking! Explore Freeport's Lucayan National Park paddling through the inland creeks of the mangroves as your guide explains the ecosystem and introduces you to some of the park's inhabitants. From Port Lucaya, you will embark on a guided bus tour to the Lucayan National Park learning about the area's geology and natural history. After a short orientation, your guides will lead you on a kayak exploration suitable for all ages and skill levels. You will have the opportunity to view several species of birds, plants and other creatures in their natural habitats. After some easy paddling, lunch will be served while having time at the beach for some fun! Afterwards, your guide will escort you on a narrated walking tour, where you will discover some of the caves once inhabited by the region's early settlers. This is a fun and educational adventure suitable for the whole family! Note: There is a significant amount of walking involved on this tour. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and insect repellant are also recommended. Kayaks used are of the open cockpit variety and the waters you will travel are mostly calm, resulting in easy paddling. Glassbottom Boat $35 per person
Enjoy visiting the shallow coral reefs off Grand Bahama Island aboard the Ocean Wonder, a custom built 60ft double deck glass-bottom boat that offers both sun and shade. Your friendly and informative crew will show you multi-colored sea life and coral formations. You will have the opportunity to help feed the fish and also view Cooper's Medieval Castle, a landmark on the island. Afterwards, weather permitting, you will travel offshore to view Brit's Wreck submerged in the waters near Treasure Reef. Your return features a pleasant cruise along the beachfront viewing various points of interest. Approximately 2.5 hours
Peterson Cay Kayak & Snorkel Tour $89 per person
Explore the natural beauty of Freeport. Following a short orientation and kayaking lesson, you will board your kayak and set out for a 30-minute paddle to Peterson Cay, the smallest national park in the Bahamas. En route, you may encounter a pod of dolphins, stingrays or spotted eagle rays that frequent these waters. As you approach Peterson Cay, you are welcomed by all kinds of birds, including pelicans, herons, and several types of gulls. Once you are outfitted with snorkel gear, enjoy spectacular snorkeling right from the beach as you explore the marine life that inhabits the unspoiled reefs surrounding the island. Snorkeling can be enjoyed by all skill levels as instruction is provided for beginners. After snorkeling, a light lunch is provided on the island before paddling back to Barbary Beach. Note: Minimum age is 12 years; maximum weight is 270 pounds. This excursion is not wheelchair accessible. Approximately 5 1/2 hours.
Sailing & Snorkeling Tour $55 per person
Relax and enjoy the tranquility of sailing along the Lucayan shores. Board the beautiful French-made 48-foot catamaran sailing vessel and enjoy the beautiful waters of the Caribbean from above and below. Don your snorkeling equipment to view the magnificent marine life that inhabits these turquoise waters. After snorkeling, relax on the open deck and enjoy the sea breeze as you sail back to the Port Lucaya Marketplace. Note: Minimum age is 13 years. Approximately 4 1/2 hours.

PLEASE read the following information before ordering any of the following tours. These conditions are binding when you purchase any excursion or tour through Carnival.
Shore Excursion/Tour Cancellation and Refund Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 25 percent cancellation fee. Tours canceled within 24 hours of port arrival are nonrefundable. Guests who leave during a tour, which includes transportation, must return to the ship at their own cost. Some tours require a minimum number of guests to operate. If this minimum is not met, tours may be canceled, and payments refunded.
Responsibility: Carnival is not responsible for any losses, injuries, or claims whatsoever arising from, connected with, or related to any activities engaged in by guests while off Carnival's vessels or tenders in any port of call, including shore excursions/tours, whether the tickets for the excursions are sold on board the vessel or ashore by third parties. Guests engage in all such activities off the vessel at their own risk.
All shore excursions/tours, including any related transportation, are operated by independent contractors and Carnival neither supervises nor controls their actions, nor makes any representation either express or implied as to their suitability. Carnival sells tickets for all excursions/tours as a convenience to guests only. Shore tour/excursion operators, transportation providers, and their employees are neither agents nor employees of Carnival, notwithstanding their use of any signage or clothing which may contain the "Carnival" or other related trade names or logos. It is understood and agreed that Carnival assumes no responsibility for, nor guarantees performance of and in no event shall be liable for, any loss, damage, injury, or death in connection with said tours/excursions or transportation. Other Conditions
All excursions/tours are subject to change without notice; descriptions, itineraries, locations, and prices may be altered and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Descriptions and tour lengths are all based on approximate times and predetermined points of interest. Changes may be unavoidable and can be made at the tour/excursion operator's sole discretion. Children's rates are applicable when noted; children are considered to be between the ages of 4 to 12 years.
Tours/Excursions & Activities Not Sold by Carnival: Carnival recommends that guests not engage in excursions, tours, or activities not sold by Carnival as Carnival has no familiarity whatsoever with these services or their operations.
Weather: Sometimes the weather does not realize that our guests are on vacation and subsequently forgets to cooperate. It should be noted that excursions operate rain or shine. At times, tour operators will cancel particular excursions due to weather-related safety considerations. In this instance, refunds will be made for guests holding tickets on a canceled tour, and all efforts will be made to accommodate guests on an alternate tour.

Q. May I take more than one tour in each port of call?
A. Yes. Make sure that you allow at the very least 30-45 minutes between each tour. All tours depart from and return to the pier, therefore 30-45 minutes between tours should be sufficient.Q. Will I miss the ship if I go on tour?
A. One of the major advantages of taking a tour organized by Carnival is that we closely monitor the departures and returns of all our tours. Therefore, we can assure you that even if there are unexpected delays on a tour, your ship will be there when you return. Please be aware, that if you make your own arrangements, or leave an organized tour, you will be on your own and it will be up to you to make sure you return to your ship on time.Q. Can I cancel an excursion that I have already purchased?
A. All cancellations are subject to a 25% cancellation fee as transportation and services have already been arranged prior to arrival in port. Guests who leave during a tour, for which transportation is included, will be responsible for their own transportation back to the ship.Q. Is it possible to go shopping and participate in a tour while in port?
A. Yes. Many of our tours are only a few hours in duration, therefore leaving you with plenty of time before or after to go shopping or even participate in an additional tour.Q. Will I need to bring money with me while on a tour?
A. All essentials are included in the price of your tour tickets, and, when noted, snacks, drinks, or even meals are sometimes included. Be advised that some tours do stop in areas where you are able to purchase souvenirs, food, and various other refreshments; however, these items will be at your own expense.Q. I am traveling with friends and family. We would like to be on the same bus, is this possible?
A. Of course. Simply make sure that you all arrive at the designated meeting place together. This will allow the staff to allocate space for all of you.
